Spring seed drill (mechanical) Serpens
The Serpens seed drill is available as a 4-section machine with a mechanical point sowing system. The drill is designed for precision sowing of maize, soybean, peanut, sorghum and rice seeds. Precise sowing of different grain sizes is possible thanks to the interchangeable seed selection discs. The seed drill is equipped with a 25 dm3 seed hopper. The correctly shaped bottom ensures complete emptying of the seed. The sowing section is driven by a wide copy wheel and a chain drive. An important task of the wheel is to maintain a suitable sowing depth (3, 6, 8 and 10 cm) and to compact the soil above the sown seed. Using interchangeable pairs of wheels will allow eight sowing distances in a row: 12 cm, 13 cm, 14 cm, 15 cm, 16 cm, 17 cm, 18 cm and 19 cm. The modular design of the drill frame and section allows for cultivated row spacing widths ranging from 50 cm to 80 cm.Standard equipment on the drill is: hydraulic markers and support wheels.
